PROJECTS

Devonshire Place, Kensington

Council: Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC)

DC Planning co-ordinated, prepared and submitted a detailed planning application to RBKC for a well resolved, high-quality ground floor, rear residential extension to the existing terraced property.

The site is located within the setting of a secure redevelopment that has seen a range of other small-scale residential extensions constructed. Therefore, it was important that the extension responded to the host dwelling, as well as taking cues from other permitted extensions within the wider redevelopment.

Cavaye Place, Chelsea

Council: Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC)

DC Planning secured full planning permission from RBKC for an upwards extension to the existing office building that provided an additional floor level to the existing premises.

The project was time sensitive to allow the existing tenants to minimise the time that they would be displaced for. DC Planning co-ordinated and instructed the applicant team, including the architect, and obtained planning permission from RBKC within 4 months of initial instruction.

Edith Road, West Kensington

Council: London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBHF)

DC Planning prepared and lodged an appeal on behalf of the owner of the property following LBHF's refusal of their application for a reconfiguration to the existing property and minor external works, including the formation of a balcony atop of the residential entrance.

The site is located within a Conservation Area and therefore an assessment of the heritage impact on the property, neighbouring properties and the wider Conservation Area was a critical element of the Appeal Statement.

Hogarth Place, Earls Court

Council: Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC)

DC Planning secured full planning permission (retrospective) from RBKC for works to the existing estate agency office building, including the installation of air-conditioning units and an increase in overall building height.

RBKC had opened enforcment action against the owner due to the works being carried out without planning permission. DC Planning were appointed and secured unanimous approval from RBKC's Planning Committee, resulting in full planning permission being granted and the enforcement case closed.

Whitton Dene, Twickenham

Council: London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames (LBRT)

DC Planning secured full planning permission (retrospective) from LBRT for a ground floor, rear residential extension to the existing terraced property.

LBRT had opened enforcment against the owner of the property due to the works being undertaken without planning permission. DC Planning were appointed and secured approved from LBRT, which also closed the enforcment action in parallel.

Nicholes Road, Hounslow

Council: London Borough of Hounslow (LBH)

DC Planning secured full planning permission from LBH for a ground floor, rear residential extension to the existing terraced property.

In addition to the above, DC Planning also submitted an application for Lawful Development Certificate (LDC) and secured confirmation of Permitted Development from LBH in relation to a rear, loft extension.
